Thanks goodness you can watch talking threads on line. The tv picture froze a few minutes after starting and I could only hear the first half. Have watched it properly this morning on the PC and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to next week.

    Hi Holly,
I was so looking forward to seeing the Di Wells programme last night and was so disappointed when the picture froze for several minutes. I was hopeful that by recording it again this morning that the problem would be rectified but no luck.
I have watched it on the computer but is there any way the fault can be solved by the next airing today or Sunday.
I am an admirer of Di’s work and also a friend and feel that people who dont know her work have missed a lot of the design element of her work which is very important.
I really enjoyed the first two programmes and am looking forward to the others.
    Best wishes
    Jenny Anderson

  3. Jamie and Holly, BIG thank you for a dose of much needed inspiration!! I signed on, made you a friend on Facebook, then proceeded to watch Episode 3 with Di Wells — I’ll be “screwing up” paper every chance I get to try this technique. Then I watched Episode 1 with Jill Kennedy — such an education I received learing about the difference between dyes and paints, gudda and wax and how to set each type. Then on to Episode 2 with Gilda Baron. What a gem she is! I’ll be sharing her technique with my friend Shelley who has been wanting to try making a rebud tree in the blossoming stage — these techniques will be helpful to her too. Oh my, I think I’ll re-pack my sewing retreat bag with items to try one or two techniques next week. Will report back and send pictures. Thanks so very much, Allison

    Hi Lynne and Jenny,
Goodness me! I was initially at a loss at what happened on Sky but I have been in contact with the Country Channel and they, in turn have sorted things out with My Channel. I have been promised that Episode 3 will be repeated on Sunday with no hitches. Also there is the possibility that the Episode will be repeated as an extra Episode later on in the series.
I do apologise for this, I am adamant that this does not happen again.
Remember you can watch Talking Threads online, anytime- no glitches- at http://www.countrychannel.com

    best wishes

    Holly

  5. Jenny Anderson says:

Thanks for sorting that out Holly.

  6. Di Wells says:

    Hi Holly,
Have heard that the Sky programme froze again yesterday!
    They have got a problem!!

Jenny Anderson had recorded it again as she has several friends without computers who were itching to see it. Unfortunately not able!!
    Take care,
    Di

  7. Holly says:

    Hi Di,
The Country Channel apologise for this, it should have been working fine but obviously it was not. They have told me that they will re-run Episode 3 in the next few weeks. I will post the dates up on the website and send an email out when they have confirmed the details.
    Holly

so glad I can watch the episodes online as there seems to be a lot of “teething problems” witht the tv programme…Brazilian music for 10 mins means the end of the programme is missed if taping it, picture freezing for 10 mins, 5.30am programme no longer on. Please keep up the good work as it is great to see these artists and their inspirational work and hopefully the tv programme can be sorted out. I have just watched the Fay Maxwell episode..wow cant wait to have a go at those bags!
